In this backyard project, we helped the homeowner transform the previously messy, muddy ground into a sleek and sophisticated leisure space. We used the increasingly popular dark grey composite decking material, a colour that not only perfectly complements modern architectural styles but is also highly resistant to stains. Additionally, the surface was installed using a hidden screw technique, ensuring that walking barefoot on it is completely safe and worry-free.

Compared to traditional timber, the biggest advantage of composite decking is its “maintenance-free” nature: there’s no need for annual painting or staining, it withstands Melbourne’s harsh sun and rain, and a simple rinse with water is all it takes to maintain its freshly completed appearance.
