This renovation was full of heart, with the homeowners hoping to provide their dog with a cleaner and more comfortable outdoor space. We removed the originally messy lawn and installed durable, low-maintenance composite decking. The advantage of composite decking is its smooth surface, which is gentle on paws and, unlike real wood, doesn’t easily splinter, making it very safe for pets. The backyard, which used to accumulate water and get muddy, has been transformed into a refreshing terrace—perfect for the owners to enjoy a cup of coffee or for the dog to bask in the sun.
