This project fully demonstrates how thoughtful spatial planning can double the living area of a backyard. For this new home, we constructed an expansive decking solution that seamlessly connects the outdoor Alfresco zone with the side walkway.

We selected Composite Decking, which is not only ideal for Melbourne’s unpredictable climate but also offers the massive advantage of being low-maintenance and corrosion-resistant—freeing the homeowners from the endless cycle of sanding and oiling. From the sturdy sub-frame construction to the precision laying of the boards, we ensured a smooth, level transition between the indoor and outdoor spaces. Whether serving as a hub for weekend BBQs or a clean, elegant path to the side yard, this design significantly enhances both daily living and the overall quality of the home.
